According to Lacan, the present time is a definition that results from a person’s relationship to their own essence. This relationship is man’s desire and longing. In various narratives of daily life, there appear certain emotional turning points at which one recovers a memory –or something similar- from the past in present time.
Post-Absence Series explores the sensory representation of this recovery in a space, playing between the nature of past and present, negative and positive space and the tension and relief.
The series contains four works; Placeless, Hands, Entrance and Absence.
